If you’re lucky enough to be in New York City on New Years Eve, and have your kick scooter, kick bike, foot bike, or other similar foot powered transportation, then head on over to Bethesda Fountain in Central Park before midnight to join the NYC KickScooters group as they ‘unofficially’ tag onto the New York Road Runners in welcoming in 2010 with a 4 mile jaunt. (Details below)
Here’s what Dorlene with NYCKickSccoters posted:
“This is the fourth year that we will unofficially join the New York
Road Runners for their 4-mile Central Park run that starts at midnight
and circles the Park between 72nd and 102nd Streets.
We will meet on the bridge overlooking the Bethesda Fountain (72nd St.
mid-Park) before midnight, watch the fireworks, and then follow the
runners east and north around the Park. To view the 4-mile course map

It will be crowded! Do not attempt to join the runners on your
scooters! We wait until the fireworks are over and the runners have a
head start before we start out on the course. It's great fun getting
razzed by the runners and a terrific way to bring in the New Year.
I will have my cellphone so call me at 212-542-0481 if you're delayed
or get lost or caught in the crowd.
I wish you all a Healthy and Happy New Year and hope to see you
tomorrow night!”
