Then late one night after dark, when we really should have been going slow and not pushing the curve, the front wheel dropped into a pothole and sent us ass over tea kettle.
So, while we were recovering from the road rash, bruises, and damage to our pride, we decide to move to something less susceptable to pothole and other hazards of the road. For a few years we used one of the original Kickbikes, and had a lot of fun, not to mention fantastic exercise, with it. But some medical problems with our left knee caused us to eventually sell it.
A year or so later, after recovering from the severest part of our knee problems, we got back into the game with a new Footbike, which compares very favorably with the Kickbike, and is even better in a few ways.
Then we saw the Xootr demo video we posted about recently and started to really pine for our first scooter love - the Xootr...
Maybe, we rationalized to ourselves, this time will be different. We'll be more careful, we'll learn from our previous mistakes, we won't Xootr fast at night, ...

Maybe ...
Maybe ..., there just might be another Xootr in our not-too-distant future.
It won't replace our Footbike, it will complement it. The Xootr can easily fold up, slip into it's carry case, and go with us anywhere. It may become our own personal UAV (Urban Assault Vehicle).
