As much as I feel tempted to, I'm not about to say that this is a really dumb idea. After all, I was skeptical about scooters in general - before I bought one and fell in love with it. And, the first kickbike I saw, while it didn't look 'stupid', did look extremely odd. So, I'm not going to say that the Treadmill Bike is one of the stupidest ideas I have seen. I'm not. . . .
And the primary reason I'm not going to say it, is that I have been proven wrong so many times before. Who knows - perhaps there are a lot of people out there that could get a huge amount of benefit from one of these. And, if it's enough to get them to put down the TV remote, get up out of their Lazy-boy chairs, and get moving, then it's definitely worth it.

I guess one of the things that bothers me about this approach is that there are already wealth of alternative devices that fill the same need. Scooters, Xootrs, Trikkes, Kickbikes - you name it. They all fill the same needs, and do it in a more 'natural' way.
Time will tell. I will keep it on the radar screen, and see how popular it becomes over the next couple of years. But, at least for now, I'm not running out to buy one for Christmas.

I'm pretty sure this product is just a joke. The humor is consistent with some of their other bikes like the Couchbike and the Hula bike.
I think the only thing the Bicycle Forest is actually trying to sell is their amazing BikeCAD program. Check it out at: www.bikeforest.com/CAD
